Hi! I am Shia and I am 23 years old. I live in Denmark, and at the moment I’m studying a masters in Games at the IT University of Copenhagen. I started this blog in October 2013 as a mean to get myself to start reading books again as I did when I was younger. My last year of high school was a very busy and stressful one, and I was hoping that by reading a lot of books I would be able to get away from those stressful days. It is not always very easy to find time and motivation to read though, and therefore I decided to call the blog Fighting Books, because I
would be fighting for the motivation to read books again.

Well done for fighting back. I love to read and realise that I completely lost that during my university days, it’s a kind of , so great that you’ve become aware of it and guard it. Books get us tough tough times!

Yeah, I also love to read a lot, and I always did, just never realized what I was missing out on when I weren’t reading. Now I’m just extremely happy about getting started again, because just in one year I have read more than I have read every year since probably 2008.

It’s so great to hear another book lover be honest about struggling with the motivation to read. Sometimes it feels like everyone else jumps from book to book week after week without struggling. And it’s so crazy that it can be difficult to do something you love. Your site is gorgeous! I will be back often =)
